What is Tottenham Pavilion
Over the past three months, the team behind Tottenham Pavilion have run a design competition for the creation of a Pavilion. Designers, Artists & Architects from across the world have applied.
Before it is judged by our panel, we want you to cast your vote.
Tottenham Pavilion is a project born from the Harringay Warehouse District; a former industrial site that has, over the past 20 years, been converted into live and work space by artists, makers, musicians and entrepreneurs.
The design brief was set on three principles, to design a Pavilion that:
- Reflects the community power of the Harringay Warehouse District
- Creates a public space that opens the area to the wider community
- Acts as an antidote to "gentrification", preserving what makes the area unique
The winning design will be built on the site in 2021, subject to fundraising targets met. The team building the Pavilion will be made up of local volunteers - reflecting the self-build nature of the warehouse district.
The winning / shortlisted designs will feature in the London Festival of Architecture.
