Connection to Harringay Warehouse District

The building site is located at the junction of two busy roads – Seven Sisters Rd. and Eade Rd. Location creates an opportunity for the building to become an entrance gate to the Harringay Warehouse District. As I experienced during my stay in London, industrial buildings are treated with great care, preserved at the maximum extent, and utilized with other functions, if possible. It is no different in the Harringay Warehouse District either. The pavillion could serve as a future centre for the district, a social space for the community, with mixed-use offices. It could bring together the people with

Proposal Outline

For the visual design a more than a hundred years old beer factory building served as inspirtation, which is not far from my home. The building is currently advertised for rent as office and other enterpreneur purposes.
The pavilion will consist of four parts which can be used as a market place, exibition space, or venue of other social gatherings.
Keeping sustainability in mind, these four parts could be also divided and used separately one by one in future locations.
Also, existing vegetation on the property line would be retained for environmental protection purposes.
The pavilion will be structurally self-contained, lightweight, temporary bond to the ground. The board materials can be obtained from various sources – even from wood waste -, it is not a requirement for them to be homogeneous. Inner height would be 3 – 5,5 meters.
The four items can be provided with light insulation (either jointly or separately). On the renderings only one item is in fully covered condition.
The back of the pavilion can be covered with class optionally, depending on the purpose of use.
The roof is made of folded sheet metal, with a glassed sunroof window on each item. The windows can be opened in order to provide ventilation.
The inner cover is made of wood, which can be either painted or natural.
The main goal would be to create a social space and hospitality unit, which could provide a place for the community to build itself as a brand. Therefore the pavilion might become a centre for the district.
If the community can get there, it coould also be the administrative centre of the district, too.
