Connection to Harringay Warehouse District

The proposal is intended to celebrate the freedom of expression and inclusivity which characterises the Harringay Warehouse district. It will draw representations of found objects and materials drawn from the district itself. It is intended to use these to create a shingled surface of mixed materials.

With a deliberately hand made approach, the proposal seeks to involve as many as possible.

Proposal Outline

The proposal draws on the concept of nomad structures which are found across Africa. The ephemeral structures are created out of whatever can be found locally. Similarly it is proposed to create this Tottenham Pavilion out of found materials, and representations of found objects fashioned into shingles to create a surface which carries the and tells the stories of the vibrant warehouse community.
