Connection to Harringay Warehouse District
The design is inspired by two main factors that create the community around Harringay Warehouse District: people and place. Figurative language, only holding hands and joining forces, the community will be truly strong.
The silhouette of the Overbury road, the place of frequent meetings, was taken as the basis for shaping. Drawing on its gabled roofs, the design language of the pavilion was formed.
Proposal Outline
The pavilion is a wooden structure that is easy to manufacture and therefore easy to use. All work will be able to be done by volunteers.
Thanks to the modular blocks of the seats, the pavilion easily adapts to different scenarios: art markets, workshops, meetings, movie screenings, and also just a place for hanging out.
