Not-for-profit, Community-Led Project seeks PR consultant/s to help get the message out about to a wider audience
The Opportunity
Tottenham Pavilion is a temporary, meanwhile architectural project, due to be built and run entirely through a group of community representatives in 2021. Run entirely outdoors, we’re confident that this the type of project will be particularly useful as a post-lockdown / bounce back initiative.
Receiving international attention, a competition to design the Pavilion run in 2020 received 166 applications from all over the world. A subsequent podcast series produced by leading architectural platform, KooZ/arch, brought together leading voices of architecture and local residents and was promoted during the London Festival of Architecture Digital Festival in 2020.
To date, the project has been mainly developed by a small group of people volunteering their time and investing in the project directly. Any involvement at this stage will start voluntarily – however fees can be paid, if required, once fundraising targets are achieved.
Coverage  Aspirations
We’ve already gained some coverage via architectural industry publications, Architects  Journal and KooZ/arch.  As well as an article in Suitcase magazine, by journalist local to the project, and Furtherfield covered our 2019 pilot project.
The priority going into 2021 is to broaden coverage outside of the architectural media. In particular:
- Special interest, lifestyle and local media to grow a team of volunteer participants to get involved in the project which will be 100% self-built / self-shaped
- Explore opportunities in more business focused press to find partners and sponsors – in particular supporting a crowdfunding campaign via Spacehive.com
- Creative, Cultural and Community media to promote the project in general and hopefully develop more collaborations ‘ opportunities for activity in the Pavilion throughout 2021
